Of late, I’ve had some brushes with the likes of Pericles (Of whom Abe Lincoln appears to have borrowed heavily, in drafting his Gettysburg Address.), Herodotus (For his command of history.), and Thucydides (As a naval general for his classic tactical and strategic military observations.), all of which meld well with contemporary challenges, bringing to the fore the importance of being mindful of our collective history to avoid the needless revisit of past failures and tragedies. As we know, Republicans and Democrats dubiously share the head of the viper that consumes all - both are culpable of the same deceits, incompetence, and lack of transparency that travels on the undercurrent of collectivism and socialism, hell-bent on destroying this once enabled and ennobled agrarian/manufacturing based Republic. This seems to have happened clandestinely, or as far as I know, because no public announcement or opportunity to vote on this was offered to the American people. PUT ME IN CHARGE . . .

Put me in charge of food stamps. I'd get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho's, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the "common good.."

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem," consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are on Gov't subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov't welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

How to really fix the economy!!

FIXING THE ECONOMY

Like millions of other seniors, I depend on my Social Security. 

I earned my Social Security through a lifetime of hard work. I deserve an open, thoughtful public discussion about how to strengthen Social Security and I am opposed to a short-sighted deal that cuts my Social Security benefits to reduce the deficit.

If Congress gave every small business in America with a business license $300,000 (--same amount of money they gave to the big banks) they would put the money in the small banks. There would be no banking crises. The small banks would have more money to loan out. There would be no job crises because more people would have jobs. There would be no housing crises because people could borrow money and they would have money to pay their mortgages because they would be working. There would be no welfare crises etc. The state and federal governments would get trillions of extra dollars back in income tax because more people would be working and paying income tax. The government wouldn't have to raise taxes and it wouldn't have to cut Social Security.

The big banks got Obama elected and orchestrated this whole depression/recession thing. Rich people have hundreds years experience hiding money. Money never trickles down hill. Giving the big banks trillions of dollars was wrong.

This whole depression thing was planned from the begging so that the big banks could buy up all the businesses, the small banks and real-estate at pennies on the dollar. Also they bundled the mortgages and sold them overseas. When people could no longer pay their mortgages the small banks had to foreclose taking the homes away from people so that they can sell them back later on. 

It’s all about greed money!!!  Its another problem / reaction / solution scenario.to make money for the rich banks.  Why can't anyone see this???

Free Stuff...

The folks who are getting the free stuff, don't like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

The folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop, and the folks who are getting the free stuff want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!

Now... The people who are forcing the people who pay for the free stuff have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff, that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff, are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.

So... The people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff, and giving them the free stuff in the first place.

We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.

Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded. The reason? The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.

The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 235 years ago. The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that. In 2012. Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.

Go the Dutch - but why wait until 2013?

The Netherlands, where six per cent of the population is now Muslim, is scrapping multiculturalism:

The Dutch government says it will abandon the long-standing model of multiculturalism that has encouraged Muslim immigrants to create a parallel society within the Netherlands .        

A new integration bill, which Dutch Interior Minister Piet Hein Donner presented to parliament on June 16, reads: "The government shares the social dissatisfaction over the multicultural society model and plans to shift priority to the values of the Dutch people. In the new integration system, the values of the Dutch society play a central role.

With this change, the government steps away from the model of a multicultural society. The letter continues: "A more obligatory integration is justified because the government also demands that from its own citizens.

It is necessary because otherwise the society gradually grows apart and eventually no one feels at home anymore in the Netherlands ..

The new integration policy will place more demands on immigrants. For example, immigrants will be required to learn the Dutch language, and the government will take a tougher approach to immigrants who ignore         Dutch values or disobey Dutch law.  The government will also stop         offering special subsidies for Muslim immigrants because, according to Donner; "It is not the government's job to integrate immigrants." (How bloody true).

The government will introduce new legislation that outlaws forced marriages and will also impose tougher measures against Muslim immigrants who lower their chances of employment by the way they dress.

More specifically, the government will impose a ban on face-covering, Islamic burqas as of January 1, 2013.

Holland has done that whole liberal thing, and realized - maybe too late - that creating a nation of tribes will kill the nation itself.

Have you noticed, your Social Security check is now referred to as a “Federal Benefit payment"? ....... It totaled 15% of your income before taxes. If you averaged only $30K over your working life, that's close to $220,500.

If you calculate the future value of $4,500 per year (yours & your employer's contribution) at a simple 5% (less than the government pays on the money that it borrows), after 49 years of working you'd have $892,919.98.

If you took out only 3% per year, you'd receive $26,787.60 per year and it would last better than 30 years (until you're 95 if you retire at age 65) and that's with no interest paid on that final amount on deposit!

If you bought an annuity and it paid 4% per year, you'd have a lifetime income of $2,976.40 per month.

Congressional benefits ---- free healthcare, outrageous retirement packages, 67 paid holidays, three weeks paid vacation, unlimited paid sick days, now that's welfare, and they have the nerve to call my social security retirement entitlements?

We're "broke" and can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, or the Homeless.

In the last months we have provided aid to Haiti, Chile , and Turkey.

And now Pakistan .......home of bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!

Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour Hundreds of Billions of $$$$$$'s and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!

They Now call Social Security and Medicare an entitlement even though most of us have been paying for it all our working lives and now when it's time for us to collect, the eseniors, vetrans, welfare, government is running out of money. Why did the government borrow from it in the first place? It was OUR money and we didn't even get interest on the unapproved "loan" they took from us. On top of that we gave our son’s and daughter’s lives to defend this country. Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other countries. Sad isn't it? 99% of people won't have the guts to forward this. I'm one of the 1% -- I Just Did.
