Railroad tracks.
 

The U.S. Standard railroad gauge (distance  between the rails) is 4 feet, 8.5 inches. That's an exceedingly odd number.

 

Why was that gauge used? Because that's the way they built them in England , and English expatriates designed the U.S. Railroads.

 

Why did the English build them like that? Because the first rail lines were built by the same people who built the pre-railroad tramways, and that's the gauge they used.

 

Why did 'they' use that gauge then? Because the people who built the tramways used the same jigs and tools that they had used for building wagons, which used that wheel spacing.

 

Why did the wagons have that particular Odd wheel spacing?
 

Well, if they tried to use any other spacing, the wagon wheels would break on some of the old, long distance roads in England , because that's the spacing of the wheel ruts.

 

 

So, who built those old rutted roads?
 

Imperial Rome built the first long distance roads in Europe (including England ) for their legions. Those roads have been used ever since.

 

And the ruts in the roads? Roman war chariots formed the initial ruts, which everyone else had to match for fear of destroying their wagon wheels.

 

 

Since the chariots were made for Imperial Rome , they were all alike in the matter of wheel spacing. Therefore, the United States standard railroad gauge of 4 feet, 8.5 inches is derived from the original specifications for an Imperial Roman war chariot. In other words, bureaucracies live forever.

 

So the next time you are handed a specification, procedure, or process, and wonder, 'What horse's ass came up with this?' , you may be exactly right.  Imperial Roman army chariots were made just wide enough to accommodate the rear ends of two war horses .

 

Now, the twist to the story:

 

When you saw a Space Shuttle sitting on its launch pad, you will notice that there are two big booster rockets attached to the sides of the main fuel tank. These are solid rocket boosters, or SRBs. The SRBs are made by Thiokol at their factory in Utah.

 

The engineers who designed the SRBs would have preferred to make them a bit larger, but the SRBs had to be shipped by train from the factory to the launch site. The railroad line from the factory happens to run through a tunnel in the mountains and the SRBs had to fit through that tunnel. The tunnel is slightly wider than the railroad track, and the railroad track, as you now know, is about as wide as two horses' behinds.

 

So, a major Space Shuttle design feature of what is arguably the world's most advanced transportation system was determined over two thousand years ago by the width of a horse's ass.  And you thought being a horse's ass wasn't important!

Now you know, Horses' Asses control almost everything.

 

Explains a whole lot of stuff, doesn't it?

ANOTHER EUROPEAN COUNTRY CONFRONTING THE DANGERS OF ISLAM – BUT IS IT  TOO LATE ? ? ?

France Raids Mosques, What Was Found Should Have Us Demolishing Them ALL.

French police raided a mosque Sunday, finding what they call a “staggering” amount of weapons, ammunition, and terrorist propaganda.
Following the Islamic terror attacks in Paris that killed over 130 people, France has begun raiding mosques, despite cries of “Islamophobia” and racism. However, what police found Muslims hiding there is more than enough to have us demanding they all be torn down.

In a controversial move, a mosque in Lagny-sur-Marne was thoroughly raided by French authorities Sunday after its members were suspected of supporting the Paris terror attacks and the Islamic State What they found was absolutely chilling.
France 24   reports that police uncovered massive stash of 7.62mm Kalashnikov ammunition and ISIS propaganda videos. A revolver and “jihadist documents” were also found at the home of one of the mosque leaders.

At least 334 weapons were confiscated and 232 Muslims were arrested, with 22 under surveillance with travel bans and 9 placed under house arrest.

This is the third mosque to be closed in France since the Paris attack onNovember 13. As a result of the terror attacks, 2,235 homes have been subsequently raided.

“In 15 days we have seized one-third of the quantity of war-grade weapons that are normally seized in a year,” France’s Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve told Express  .

Police also found recordings of religious chants “glorifying the martyrs of jihad linked to the terrorist organisation Jabhat al-Nusra,” the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda, the prefecture added.

While those of us on the right warn that more gun control will only leave us defenseless, France has proven it with their own failed policies. All but banning weapons hasn’t stopped Islamic terrorists from obtaining them, as these raids have shown. This is one instance where we should learn from the mistakes of others, rather than making more of our own — mistakes that will cost more American lives than we’ve already seen lost at the hands of those who follow Islam, Allah, and his pedophile prophet.

President of the local Muslim association, Mohammed Ramdane, criticized the police’s closure of the mosque, blaming them for setting up local Muslims.

The ISIS videos were found among an abundance of teaching material for Muslim children of a connected madrassa.

“Nothing has been found,” he claimed. “Nothing is hidden, we don’t hide anything.”

So far, the Schengen Agreement allows the EU’s 400 million residents and other non-EU nationals to freely cross Europe without showing an ID or waiting to be screened. Because of it, thousands who support Islamic terror and wish to terrorize European civilians are now in Europe.

Although the left attempts to argue that most mosques won’t harbor weapons or terrorists, we must remember that it only took a handful of Muslims to slaughter more than 130 people in Paris. Of course, political correctness has perpetuated these attacks, making witnesses afraid to come forward with information for fear they will be labeled racist or Islamophobic.

Still, these mosques are teaching from the Quran, the same book that contains 109 verses that command all Muslims to be violent and slaughter unbelievers in order to receive an eternal reward. In case any of these imams or Muslim mosque goers decide that the Quran is actually peaceful and not to be taken literally, they only need to look at the only “interpretation” that Allah said matters — Muhammad’s.
As the messenger of Allah, Muhammad wasn’t only charged with preaching the divine revelation, but modeling it for followers to copy.Because Muhammad beheaded, raped, enslaved, and conquered until the day of his death, Muslims must behead, rape, enslave, and conquer as he did. If they do not emulate their prophet to the best of their ability, the Quran states that they are hypocrites who will share hell with their infidel friends.

Because Islam is enshrouded by the term “religion,” we have been fooled into thinking that it must be tolerated and even respected. We must buck the notion that all religions are created equal. All religions are ideologies, and therefore, can never be equal. Because Islam is more violent and produces more terrorists than all other religions combined, tolerance of it would mean our own non-existence.

"Muslims of the Americas" claims it has a network of 22 “villages” around the U.S., with headquarters at an encampment in the Catskill Mountains near Hancock, N.Y., called Holy Islamberg, as WND has reported. An investigative report at the time found neighbors of Islamberg were deeply concerned about military-style training taking place there and frustrated by an apparent lack of attention from federal authorities. WND also has reported that Jamaat al-Fuqra has collaborated with major terrorist organizations, including Hezbollah and al-Qaida. The FBI describes the compound in Texas, called Mahmoudberg, as an “enclave” and “communal living site.” Located in Brazoria County along County Road 3 near Sweeny, Texas, it was discovered by the FBI through a tip from an informant in New York, according to the Clarion Project. The Texas commune, in a heavily wooded area, is estimated by a local resident who spoke to ACT researchers to encompass about 25 acres. It dates back to the late 1980s, the resident said, which is confirmed by the FBI documents. The FBI reported in 2007 that one commune resident formerly was a leader at the Muslims of the Americas compound in Badger, Calif., called Baladullah. In March 2001, a Baladullah member had been arrested for transporting guns between New York and South Carolina. Another was charged with murdering a police deputy that caught him breaking and entering a home. The declassified FBI documents show that the enclave is not the only affiliate of the organization that has operated in the state. A 2003 FBI report states that investigation of MOA "is based on specific and articulate facts giving justification to believe they are engaged in international terrorism." Last year, Muslims of the Americas filed a lawsuit against the nonprofit Christian Action Network for defamation and libel after CAN’s publication of the book “Twilight in America: The Untold Story of Islamist Terrorist Training Camps Inside America.” The book accuses Muslims of the Americas of “acting as a front for the radical Islamist group Jamaat al-Fuqra.” Much of the book is based on the investigation of a former NYPD undercover informant who spent eight years posing as a member of the group. The authors of the book, Martin Mawyer and Patti Pierucci, told Fox News they welcome the lawsuit because it will expose the Islamic group's activities. Beltway sniper John Muhammad also has been tied to the group, and there is circumstantial evidence that links it to Oklahoma University bomber Joel Hinrichs. Joseph Bodansky, the former director of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare, has affirmed Jamaat al-Fuqra operations in the U.S. have been known to the FBI and CIA for decades. Today, lawmakers return to Washington, D.C. from spring break, and as I warned you yesterday, I'm very worried an anti-gun storm is brewing on the horizon. 

In fact, that storm could hit this week.

That's because Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is facing increased pressure to hold a vote on Attorney General nominee, Loretta Lynch. 

Lynch is President Obama's pick to succeed disgraced anti-gun Attorney General Eric Holder, and she's shown no signs she'd reverse Holder or Obama's anti-gun agenda.

Henry, your actions and your petitions have held back this questionable nominee so far.

Dear Fellow Patriot,

Thanks to a groundswell of grassroots opposition from NAGR members and supporters, the confirmation of Barack Obama's handpicked candidate for Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, remains in doubt.

But that doesn't mean the fight is over.

In December when I first alerted you to Lynch's impending nomination, insiders on Capitol Hill didn't seem to think she would have difficulty getting confirmed.

Then NAGR's more than four million members and supporters began to take action.

January, February and March passed.  Your calls, emails, fax petitions and letters didn't let up.

Last month, after Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell indicated there would be a vote to confirm Lynch, he had to back off because of your grassroots efforts, and the Senate adjourned for Easter without taking a vote.

But our work is far from over.

On Monday, Joe Biden sent out an angry directive to left-wing activists imploring them to do whatever must be done to get Lynch confirmed.

When the Senate returns in a little more than a week, expect this fight to heat up again.

Lynch's anti-freedom record is atrocious . . .

During her Capitol Hill confirmation hearings, she refused to answer direct questions about your Second Amendment rights, yet she called anti-gun provisions in the PATRIOT ACT, "constitutional and effective."

She served on an "Advisory Committee" to Eric Holder during his gun-smuggling operation, "Fast & Furious."

And while a U.S. Attorney in New York, she used a process known as civil asset forfeiture to seize private property -- a process that state has used to confiscate firearms from deceased concealed permit holders.

Now isn't the time to let up the heat on Republican Senators urging them to OPPOSE Lynch's nomination.

"In Russia, live like Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, it should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law, and live the life of Muslim's then we advise them to go to those places where that's the state law.
"Russia does not need Muslim minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell 'discrimination'. We will not tolerate disrespect of our Russian culture. We better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to survive as a nation. The Muslims are taking over those countries and they will not take over Russia. The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of Sharia Law and Muslims.
"When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the Russian national interest first, observing that the Muslims Minorities Are Not Russians."
The politicians in the Duma gave Putin a five minute standing ovation.
