It is very important before moving forward, that we first revisit where the USA has been in modern and recent history:
When Puerto Rico defaulted on May 2, 2016, so did the USA Inc that was founded in Puerto Rico in 1871 and which illegally mimicked the Republic of the united States established in 1776.
All government agencies of the illegal USA Inc also defaulted, including but not limited to: The Federal Reserve Bank, Internal Revenue Service, Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Security Agency, Central Intelligence Agency, and National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
An especially chosen white hat military leadership of white hat politicians has been seated in this new Republic by the BRICS nations to handle the day to day operations of the United States that include military and political oversight over all international and domestic matters concerning the country.
To re-establish banking credit internationally, the Republic is about to issue a gold backed currency called United States Notes (USNs) with Martha Washington on the $10 dollar bill. The Republic’s sovereign currency designation is called Treasury Reserve Notes (TRNs) which are currently being traded on markets all over the world, specifically between governments.
All 208 sovereign nations of the world are now only diplomatically, militarily and financially recognizing the Republic of the United States and their USN/TRN combination of monetary value. This means that the USA Inc, and all of it’s false agencies and minions, are no longer recognized and acknowledged on the global stage.
Anything having to do with the enemies of the State, Obama, Biden, Trump, Clinton, Sanders, US Congress leadership… is nothing more than a pageant intended to keep their grand lie going, known as the cabal.
Chinese Elders gave this cabal two additional weeks, plus an extra transition week to publicly and permanently vacate all US affairs, which clearly they have not done so as to protect the illusion that their pageant is still relevant and alive.
On Monday May 23, 2016, the Chinese halted all financial extension graces to the ever withering cabal political, financial, military pageant. They have thusly eliminated for good the USA Inc from the face of the earth, as no sovereign country in active participation with the BRICS can now participate with the USA INC on their new gold backed financial system.
What most American’s are looking at everyday is nothing but a scripted lie, a con, whereby a single bloodline family (aka the cabal) is attempting to convince the world that they are still a relevant controlling entity–which however they are not. But since most American’s are not aware of this ruse, they do not realize that their pretend government has been a lie for their entire lives, nor are they quick to adopt or embrace the truth that generations of their own families have been fooled.

Be advised that the sovereign rates of all first basket redemption currencies, will not be available to American public until the end of May.
Sovereign rates are intentionally high to help replenish the devastated American economy which has collapsed due to cabal decision making over the last 100 years since the creation of the Federal Reserve Banking system.
Also, an influx of liquid capital will put a final dagger into the side of the cabal pageant actors / companies / media / still daily playing out their facade.

As of Sunday evening May 22, 2016, the proverbial rubber officially hit the road with regards to the the Chinese Elders, who benevolently provided the gold for the entire new financial system including our own Republic, with the unconditional support of all over the sovereign nations of the world–who are also united in taking down the cabal where ever they are, going, or fleeing through physical elimination or arrest.
The reason why there have been consistent setbacks and delays is because when – not if – the cabal surrenders to the financial system being implemented in the United States today, it will expose all their illegal actives worldwide, of which they are either still now or were deeply rooted within every country’s decision making infrastructure on the planet. This means that the Emperor will be seen completely naked very soon and there will be no army or government in the world to protect them, and no financial system for them to manipulate to hire mercenaries like ISIS, Black Rock, or Halliburton fighters.
In order to work around these dying cabal actors and entities, all cabal loyal companies, banks and governments have now been cut off from this new system’s monetary roots, including the USA Inc; and HSBC/Wells Fargo will be temporarily serving as the Republic Treasury, issuing the new gold backed money to American citizens, corporations, and international investors.
US financial markets have already been switched over to the new gold backed money, just as has every bank account in the US system of finance no matter the bank or its location. Meaning, all Americans are already operating safely inside of the new system and no one should see any meaningful or immediate changes to their day to day financial activities.

HSBC/Wells Fargo have completed their final “ping process” earlier today, and are now readying to release T4 800#’s for North American currency holder redemptions. This release can happen at any moment from early Monday evening into late Tuesday morning without noticeable disruption to the public’s attention or trust.

Forest Fires, king salmon, seals, and stupid governments...

We launched the boat at 2 PM today and ran it up and down the river for an hour to put time on the new engine. We use the 42-foot Brisk to traspor salmon tom markets. There are hundreds of seal in the river attacking the king salmon as they come in.

Earlier today Mary and I were evicted out of our house one AM by police. A big forest fire was within a mile of us. The air was very smokey and it was scarry. You could see flames from our porch. We packed our guns and computers and drove to the boat in Kenai. The highway was packed with people leaving their homes. We slept on the Brisk until 8 AM after which we her the fire had died down by itself when it hit the swamp below us. Nine AM we took our two dogs and drove back home where I slept another two hours.

The fire is still raging and has consumed over 90,000 acres or bout 90 square miles. It jumped the funny river road and is heading north. The wind picked up from the southwest at 30 MPH. Six Canadian fire tanker aircraft are fighting the fire along with 400 fire fighters from all over and many Air Force Blackhawk helocopters. Hundreds of local people donated their time nd pickup trucks to transport fire fighters. This fire will consume more than 100 sqare miles of forest.

It makes me angry that our government Forest Service will sit on their buts for fifty years watching the tress grow without putting in section lines and fire breaks. I am going to write our Congressmen and tell them if the Statem Federal and Borough governments want to own land they should take care of it. If not then at least let people homestead it. The waste hundreds of millions fighting fires when they should be allowing poeple to hunt moose and spruck hens, harvest house logs, pick mushrooms and cut firewood on public lands. Instead they guard it with uniformed officers to keep people off it and then watch it all go up in smoke.

At the very least they should pay people to put in roads and section lines (fire breaks). If the government can't take care of the land then they should not own the land. Let the people have it.

Henry Kroll, you'll be astonished at this news which
Lisa has revealed.

A young New Zealander on a visit to the USA, Lisa
worked for a while with the New Mexico Parks
Department.

During her term of employment there was a big
"washout" in one of the Park regions and I'm
assuming it was up in Pueblo country around Taos.

The flash flood scoured out embankments and in doing
so a large number of anomalous skeletons were exposed.

Lisa and her colleagues were assigned the task of
gathering up the remains and placing them into crates.
Also in attendance at the site were Smithsonian Institute
officials and FBI agents.

Each day as Lisa and the other Parks Department
employees went onto the site, they were searched for
cameras. Similarly they were searched as they left the
site each day to make sure they weren't removing
artefacts.

They were also obliged to sign "secrecy documents"
ensuring that they would never divulge details of their
participation in this undertaking.

The reason for this degree of secrecy stems from the fact
that the skeletons were of people who were about 8 feet
tall. They had six fingers on each hand and six toes per
foot. They also had a strange, double row arrangement
of teeth.

The crates containing the recovered remains, at the
termination of work, were taken away by the
Smithsonian officials and, undoubtedly, will never be
seen again.

Lisa later had official "hassles" when trying to come
home to New Zealand and was severely grilled by United
States government functionaries as she attempted to depart
from the US.

THE FARMER WHO
NEARLY WENT TO PRISON

There are many ways to avoid having to face a challenge to
one’s theories.

This tactic would do any corrupt politician proud. I must
tell you about some stones that nearly sent a man to
prison.

In 1966, Dr Javier Cabrera, of Ica, Peru, was given a stone
by a poor local farmer.

You would not consider a stone to be much of a gift.

Perhaps this villager, just an average sort of man, did
not value it very highly either. But to the educated Dr
Cabrera it did mean a lot.

You see, a fish was carved on that stone – and Dr Cabrera
recognised it as a long-extinct species. This aroused his
curiosity.

So much so that he went looking for more such stones he
could purchase from the farmer. The village farmer explained
that he had collected the stones down near the river after
a flood.

Over time, Dr Cabrera accumulated more and more of these
strange, carved stones. In fact, it wasn’t long before he
had amassed thousands of them.

Eventually, word of these “Ica stones” and their potential
importance filtered out to the archaeological community.

The sophisticated carvings were as puzzling  as they were
fascinating. Some unknown person or persons had carved men
fighting with dinosaurs, men performing operations with
surgical equipment and men with telescopes.

A number of the stones were sent to Germany for examination.
And there the etchings were dated to remote antiquity.

But, of course, we all know, don’t we, that men could not
have lived at the same time as the dinosaurs?

Well, eventually the BBC heard of this discovery. It
wasn’t long before they swooped down to Peru – and the
result was a documentary about these strange Ica stones.

As might be expected, the media exposure ignited a storm
of controversy. Archaeologists criticised the government
of Peru for being lax in enforcing their antiquities
laws. (However, between you and me, that was not their
real concern.)

The next step was to apply pressure to government officials.
The villager who had been selling the stones to Dr Cabrera
was arrested.

To his interrogators he claimed to have found the stones
in a cave. However, according to the authorities he refused
to disclose the exact location to them.  

I tell you, so artfully was this case taken care of, that
it would be a great credit to any corrupt politician.

The Peruvian government now threatened to prosecute and
imprison the farmer. They offered him a plea bargain.

The frightened man accepted.  Then he recanted his story
and "admitted" that he had carved all of the stones himself.
Uneducated and unskilled as he was, he had “carved” all
11,000 of the stones!

Of course, you understand that some of these stones were
fairly large – not to mention that they were intricately
carved with animals and scenes that the poor farmer could
never had knowledge of, unless he was a palaeontologist.

And just think about this. Here was a poor man, who needed
to work hrad to earn a daily living to support his
dependents – yet, despite that, he would have needed to
spend every day for several decades and do nothing else,
just to produce this volume of carved stones.

Never mind, such underlying facts were neither here nor
there. The Ica stones were dubbed "hoax" and forgotten.

Handled this way, the case did not require any head-to-head
confrontation. There was no need for public discrediting of
non-scientists by scientists.

The whole matter was disposed of with invisible pressure
tactics.

Because it was filed away as a "hoax", the difficult
evidence of human co-existence with dinosaurs and of
ancient technological knowledge by the ancient carvers
never had to be dealt with. 

How convenient!

pleased to share with you. Perhaps you have wondered on
these same matters yourself.

Using the Smithsonian Institution as an example, this was
founded by a gentleman whose aim was "the disemmination of
knowledge for the benefit of mankind." A most admirable
aim.

Not long after his death, however, at the time when
Darwin's evolutionary theory was starting to take hold,
the Smithsonian fell under the control of others, the
majority of whom were getting caught up in that theory and
desired to promote it.

Any evidence against it was first locked away, and then
denied. A conscious plan was set into action in which the
aim of the Smithsonian would be to educate the public in
the evolutionary mindset.

So it happened that the public displays in their museums
began to be arranged to illustrate this.

That same situation pertains to this day.

Theories which endangered that view included the ancient
relationship of the North American continent with the Old
World. So they fought strongly against anyone promoting
such a concept.

During a rasdio interview on Coast to Coast AM I happened
to mention that the Smithsonian Institute had taken a
boat-load of ancient artefacts out to sea and dumped them.

In a subsequent email to me, Franz von Riedel of the Zenith
Tugboat Company, Duluth, MN and Charleston, SC wrote:

"In case you're interested, I'm a tugboat captain (you can
Google my name and learn I'm legit... Ive literally 'written
the book' on tugboating!) and I can confirm that your mention
on Coast to Coast AM of artifact dumping is 100% correct. 

"For just under 3 years (during 2002 through 2005) I worked
out of the Philly Naval Yard as a sub-contractor, with a
low-level security clearance, on two projects - and I gained
1st-hand knowledge of this practice.  We sunk a tremendous
amount of materials for the U.S. Government. 

"I've not discussed this before, but you really inspired me
to not hold back anymore at all.  And, my job is different
now, and my security clearance expired January 24, 2008 anyway! 

"Email me if you are interested in specific details and I'll
dig up my old logs in storage and see what I wrote down.  I
keep detailed work logs, to make sure details are remembered
correctly.... I know I put what I learned in those logs.
They are here, at home, but just down in storage.  Not hard
to dig out." 

SCIENTIFIC DECEPTION

Meanwhile, another email writer, Raina, reports:

I retired early because I couldn't take the museum politics
and the lies. After leaving the Detroit museum and moving
to Florida taking over the Department of Archaeology and
(Director of Education) it was rough.

I decided rather then teach lies, I left the museum to
become a full time artist. Something I always loved. Now
at 61 I am a much happier person not having to deal with
the bureaucrats and all their shenanigans!  I now teach
in my home for the truth seekers.

MY COMMENT:

We take it for granted that the scientific Establishment
is run by men who are all clean and honest.

Let's face the truth, all of us! 

Most folk have no idea of the depth of corruption at the
top, nor of the extreme measures taken to block the truth.

To answer your question, the mainstream scientific world is
currently in the grip of powerful men with enormous money
behind them – and an agenda. They have much to lose if they
fail.

And they have had a good run of success. Constant exposure
to something, in most cases, leads to its acceptance. As
Hitler acknowledged, “Tell a lie long enough and people
will come to believe it.”

As a result, many honest scientists are caught up in the
system – and sincerely misinformed. The evolution theory
was all they were taught.

As a result, most university graduates have acquired their
degrees through this system.

But here is the problem. As new scientific discovery brings
a mounting mass of evidence against it, scientists who
question the status quo risk losing their positions in the
universities. They fear for their reputations and loss of
grants to do research if they speak up against it.

Many who have renounced the theory of evolution have not
only lost funding for their projects, they have also been
misrepresented, ridiculed  and fired. And much of their
research has then been destroyed. Examples of such treatment
could fill volumes.

And here’s something else to consider. It is almost
impossible for a person who has taken a public stance on
a certain position, to make a public admission that what he
has taught is wrong.

So many educators continue with the tide. Shame on them!

Therefore the unsuspecting public continues to be fed this
hoax. And a compliant media regurgitates it as though
nothing was wrong.

But we can help change that.

WHY DO ACADEMIC SECRECY
AND COVER-UPS PERSIST? 

QUESTION:

Shirley wrote in, "I will never understand why all the secrecy
and denial that all these things exist, what do you think?"

ANSWER:

To set the record straight, an increasing number of scientists
are now standing for the truth.

But Shattered myths still dominate the universities, schools
and textbooks we learn from.

Here's an example of how a discredited theory can persiast.

Do you know that up to 200 years after the flat earth theory
was disproved, schools in Europe were still teaching it as
fact?

Entrenched theories do die hard. It takes time. And the
discoveries I keep sharing with you do challenge the
entrenched evolution theory.

IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE
BEHIND THE DENIALS?

QUESTION:

Chuck, an American guy, had this to say:

Why are so many scientists and media members so against
the abundant evidence of past advanced civilizations?  Why
is this such a horrible thing?  When anyone writes of this,
I've seen many times where they will call the writer "foolish"
or "unqualified", but never once have I seen them debate the
facts the writer presents.  Just make an attack on the
person, never discuss the facts presented, and move on.
Yes, I know reputations can be at stake, and scientists do
not like to admit being wrong, but is there something more
to this? 

ANSWER:

Are you sitting down? The underlying reason why many
reject the evidence is because the sacred evolution theory
demands it.

Believe it. This is a battle between two “religions”

Did it ever occur to you that evolution theory is really a
religion?

Let me explain.

When Darwin offered his “Origin of Species” theory, the reason
that many gladly embraced it was because it offered an
alternative to “God.”  They wanted God out!  Out of their
lives, out of their memories. 

Why? Largely because a hypocritical Church had turned them off.
Darwin’s evolution theory gave them an “out.”

You see, evolution makes definite statements about God.  It
states that

     1. we have destiny in our own hands,
     2. that the Creator plays no part in the processes
        around us;
     3. that we shall never answer to any Higher Being. 

Those are religious claims. Evolution, you see, is an
atheistic religious belief – a religion and a philosophy.

Indeed, here is an evolutionary scientist admitting this:

“In fact, evolution became in a sense a scientific religion;
almost all scientists have accepted it and many are prepared
to ‘bend’ their observations to fit in with it.”  (H.S.
Lipson, Professor of Physics, University of Manchester, “A
Physicist Looks at Evolution”, Physics Bulletin, vol.31)

The major issues at stake are at long last being clarified by
evolutionist leaders themselves – the DELIBERATE CHOICE of not
wanting to invoke the Creator.

Dr. Michael Walker, Senior Lecturer in Anthropology, Sydney
University,agrees:

“One is forced to conclude that many scientists and
technologists pay lip-service to Darwinian theory only because
it supposedly excludes a Creator.”  (Michael Walker, Senior
Lecturer in Anthropology, Sydney University, Quadrant, October,
1981, p.44)

Like it or not, evolution is not “just another” scientific
theory.  Evolution is really a faith and heart commitment,
a complete world-and-life view;  in other words, a religion.

You see, evolutionary scientists dismiss many alternative views
(for example a Global Flood and superior ancient civilizations)
for religious reasons… and not on objective reasons based on
geological or ancient historical data.

Often, their furious rejection of any theories involving the
supernatural seems almost pathological.

WHY DO GOVERNMENTS
COVER UP FINDS?

QUESTION:

"What about governments?" writes Joshua. "Is there any kind of
reason why governments around the world would cover up 'giant
human remains' and maybe terminate those who know about them
or have them?"

ANSWER:

Governments are influenced by pressure groups. Today, I see

Homeland Security war against citizens info...

On Saturday, Terry M. Hestilow, a retired United States Army Captain from Fort Worth, Texas, posted a letter on Facebook that he wrote to Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, warning that the Department of Homeland Security is preparing to go to war with the citizens of the United States.

Dear friends, the following is a copy of my correspondence with Senator Cornyn concerning the arming of the DHS for war against the citizens of our nation. You are each encouraged to copy and properly amend this letter to send to your own senators and members of the U.S. House.
Further, I am somewhat overwhelmed at the response to my posts leading up to this letter on this issue. At this point almost 3,000 of you have shared my original post, I have 994 new friends requests, 61 messages, and 70 new comments to process.

Re: Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and that agency's preparation for war against citizens of the United States of America.
Dear Senator Cornyn,
It is with gravest concern that I write to you today concerning the recent appropriation of weapons by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that can only be understood as a bold threat of war by that agency, and the Obama administration, against the citizens of the United States of America. To date, DHS has been unwilling to provide to you, the elected representatives of the People, justification for recent purchases of almost 3,000 mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) armored personnel carriers, 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition (with associated weapons), and other weapons systems, when, in fact, the DHS has no war mission or war making authority within the limits of the United States of America.
Significant is the fact that at the same time the Obama administration is arming his DHS for war within the limits of the United States against the People of the United States in accordance with his 2008 campaign speech claiming,
“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve gotta (sic) have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded [as the United States military]”--Candidate Barack Obama, 2008.
The Obama administration is deliberately defunding, overextending, and hollowing the Department of Defense; the only legitimate agency of the U.S. government with a war mission.
This act of the Obama administration stands as a glaring threat of war against our nation’s citizens! This act of the Obama administration can only be understood as a tyrannical threat against the Constitution of the United States of America! If left unresolved, the peace loving citizens who have sworn to defend the United States Constitution “against all enemies, both foreign and domestic” are left no option except to prepare to defend themselves, and the U.S. Constitution, against this Administration’s “coup” against the People and the foundations of liberty fought for and defended for the past 238 years. We have no choice if we honor our oaths.
The only proper response to this threat against the American people is for the representatives of the People, the members of the U.S. House and Senate, to demand in clear terms that the Administration cannot ignore, that the Department of Homeland Security immediately surrender their newly appropriated weapons of war to the Department of Defense (DoD). Further, since the DHS has assumed a position in the Administration to enforce the tyrannical acts of this president against the People of the United States against the limits of the United States Constitution, it remains for the United States Congress to exercise its limiting power in the balancing of powers established by our founding fathers, to disestablish and dissolve the DHS as soon as possible. One needs only to look to the rise of Adolf Hitler, and his associated DHS organizations, the SA and the SS, of 1932-1934, to see the outcome of allowing an agency of government this kind of control over the free citizens of a nation. The people of Germany could not have imagined, until it was too late, the danger of allowing a tyrant this kind of power. We must not be so naïve as to think it will not happen to us as well if we remain passive toward this power grab by the Marxist Obama administration!
Finally, for more than two centuries the nation has lived in peace at home because of the protections of our legitimate military and the many appropriate state and federal law enforcement agencies, supported by Constitutional courts. We stand today at a cross-road. Will we allow this present Administration to overthrow our United States Constitution and its legal processes to amend injustices, or, will we honor our obligations to defend the Constitution against a “domestic” enemy? Our Constitution lays out the proper methods of resolving our differences; and it does not include its overthrow by a rogue agency of a Marxist leadership at home. You, sir, are our constitutionally elected agent to defend our Constitution at home. We are counting upon you. We remain aware, however, of this present threat and will not expose ourselves as an easy prey to the authors of the destruction of our nation.
I know that this letter demands much of you. We elected you because we, the citizens of the State of Texas, believe that you are up to the task at hand and will, against all threats, honor your oath and office. We are also writing to your fellow members of the House and Senate to stand in integrity with the Constitution and against this present threat by the Obama administration and his DHS.
We refuse to surrender our Constitution or our nation!

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is preparing for "massive civil war" in America.The federal government is preparing for civil uprising," he added, "so every time you hear about troop movements, every time you hear about movements of military equipment, the militarization of the police, the buying of the ammunition, all of this is . . . they (DHS) are preparing for a massive uprising."

At midnight on April 11, a 940-foot tanker maneuvered into the dock at the oil terminal in Valdez, Alaska, carrying an unusual cargo for a returning ship. Sloshing in its tanks were more than 12 million gallons of Alaskan crude, at least a quarter of the cargo the ship had carried away from Valdez two weeks earlier.

The Alaskan Explorer had sailed to a Washington refinery but was forced to return to Alaska with 300,000 barrels because the onshore storage tanks were too full to accept it, confirmed Anil Mathur, CEO of the Alaska Tanker Co., which owns the ship.

"Not the normal course of business," said John Kotula, one of the few outsiders privy to the incident because of his position as manager of the state of Alaska's environmental office in Valdez. The tanker's inability to offload its oil underlines a startling reality: Stocks of crude oil in the U.S. have been for the last two years at historic highs, while Americans are using decreasing amounts of its most important product - gasoline.

But federal statistics show another recent development: West Coast refineries are decreasing their production as the domestic demand for gasoline shrinks."If there is so much crude oil around, why is the price of gasoline so high? Why is the price of heating oil so high?" asked Dan Lawn, an environmental consultant who was in the same job as Kotula for decades before he retired in 2005.

The BP refinery in northern Washington had been shut down due to a February fire when the Alaskan Explorer arrived there on April 6. But that doesn't explain the tanker's return to Valdez with a big load of oil. Refinery spokesman Bill Kidd acknowledged that in normal times, the ship would have offloaded the remainder of its cargo at one of three nearby refineries.

An unusual position: Hauling oil to Valdez - a remote town that still supplies a big portion of the West Coast's oil - is carrying the proverbial coal to Newcastle. It is a sign that the American oil industry is in a very un-accustomed place. Government statistics show gasoline isn't selling the way it used to, and on any given day crude oil could be backed up in storage tanks ranging from Valdez to the San Francisco Bay to Long Beach. "Valdez inventories are pretty high. Our inventories are high. Nobody is taking much crude on the West Coast," Kidd said.

So why aren't gasoline prices pushed downward by the forces of supply and demand? "You've keyed into an interesting puzzle, a paradox," said Richard Newell, professor of energy and environmental economics at Duke University and until last year the head of the federal Energy Information Administration, an arm of the Energy Department that tracks industry statistics.

The answer is the power of the world market. "We are tied to the global market, the global price for oil," said Rayola Dougher, senior economic adviser at the American Petroleum Institute. "We cannot secede."
The profitable oil production industry benefits from the fact that it operates within a global market. Fuel conservation in the United States cannot overcome the rising hydrocarbon demand in emerging markets like China and India, Newell said. The price stays up even where more local market pressures might force it down.

Nationally, the average retail price for all grades of gasoline as of last Monday was $3.93 a gallon, according to the Energy Information Administration - about the same as this time last year but up more than a dollar since April 2010. The highest prices are mostly on the West Coast.

Limited gesture: The Obama administration has proposed better oversight of the commodities market that trades in oil futures, but it is a limited gesture. The markets that set crude prices are different for Scandinavian, West Texas and Arabian oil. "The dynamics in the United States are the opposite of what is occurring at a global level," Newell said. When prices at American gasoline stations go down - or up - it will be for reasons other than U.S. intervention or our improved driving habits, he said.

Lower consumption hasn't brought U.S. prices down or eliminated our dependence on foreign oil. Even though exports are up, the United States still imports around 11 million barrels of crude oil and petroleum products per day, according to the Energy Information Administration.

Consumer demand for gasoline in the U.S. started faltering in 2005 and has been falling "very sharply" since 2007, said Houston-based oil industry analyst Pavel Molchanov of Raymond James & Associates.
"We think (demand) is going to go down in perpetuity," Molchanov said.

People are driving less, because of the economy and the aging of baby boomers, said James Beck, a lead petroleum supply analyst for the Energy Information Administration. Newer cars get better mileage and are replacing the gas-guzzling older ones.

Toward natural gas: Meanwhile, natural gas is cheap. Buses and commercial vehicles are turning away from oil and toward compressed or liquid natural gas, and the petrochemical industry is replacing oil with natural gas for feedstock, Molchanov said.

Gulf Coast and West Coast refineries consequently are making more product than they can sell locally. They are exporting it, notably to Central and South America, in volumes not seen in half a century, according to the Energy Information Administration.

Some East Coast refineries face possible shutdowns because of falling demand and gasoline imports from Europe, Beck said.

"The surging growth in U.S. oil supply has turned North American crude dynamics upside down," industry analysts Cory Garcia and Stacey Hudson said in a March briefing paper distributed by Raymond James & Associates.

Advanced drilling technologies are sucking new crude oil supplies out of landlocked North Dakota, while a pipeline bottleneck at the key hub in Cushing, Okla., has slowed the path to refineries in Texas and Louisiana. The results are a glut of crude oil in the middle of the country, as well as environmental concerns about the drilling techniques. "Clearly, it will take some time (and pipeline capacity) in order to fully clear this supply glut," Garcia and Hudson wrote.

Nearly full tanks: The storage tanks in Valdez were more than 90 percent full the day the Alaskan Explorer arrived with its odd load, said Michelle Egan, spokeswoman for terminal operator Alyeska. She downplayed the significance of those full tanks, noting that they were not so full a few weeks earlier.
But Egan also acknowledged that Alyeska officials begin worrying when the storage tanks at the terminal are over 90 percent full. Such a glut could force a slowdown of oil production on the North Slope. That would reduce flow in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, she said, which can result in increased maintenance problems.
The price of gasoline, meanwhile, is still near four bucks a gallon.

"Both the supply side and demand side in the U.S. are moving in a direction that you would think would underpin falling prices," Newell said. "But the global market rules."
